In 1979 Norman and Marjory McMurray donated 50 acres of land to begin the project.

Entheos was founded in 1980 by Norman McMurray, Marjory McMurray, Harry Blumsom and Bishop Goodman.

A Board of Directors was established to oversee the Ministry. Many Christian Denominations are represented on the Board.

Entheos is a Non Profit Foundation and a Registered Charity.

From the very beginning many people contributed generously to Entheos Foundation.

The first guests were welcomed to Entheos in 1981 on the completion of the Main Building. This building contains, on the upper level: Main Conference Room, Fireside Room and Chapel. The lower level: Dining Room, Kitchen, and Offices.

Guest House 1: 21 bedrooms – 42 beds was completed 1983

Guest House 2: 16 bedrooms – 32 beds – Conference Room was completed 1986

Ministry House: 6 bedrooms – 12 beds – Conference Rooms was completed 1991

Over the years Entheos has hosted guests from all across Canada, many places in the USA, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Poland, Germany, Switzerland, Romania, and Korea.

Entheos has become an internationally known Conference Retreat Centre.
